MEET THE BAND MEMBERS

Since 1999, Heart & Soul has been thrilling audiences with its top-notch blend of showmanship and hot dance material which ranges from disco, soul and Motown to today's current hits.

Heart & Soul features the seductive, silky tenor of Stevon Wolf who has amazed and captivated audiences nationally and internationally touring with the Drifters. Joining Stevon on lead vocals is Denise Pace  whose commanding stage presence has been honed by years of theatrical experience both locally and nationally. The group also features the talents of kevin robertson (bass), Marc Stratton (guitars and vocals), and the heart beat of Heart & Soul, Bob Powell (drums and percussion).

The group can be configured to meet any performance situation from four to nine pieces (with the addition of the lake effect Horns) and will provide a full sound uncommon to many groups with more members. The sound system and light show are state-of-the-art and the dancing is non-stop with a DJ providing music between the band sets.

Stevon, with his legendary vocal skills, has been the Heart & Soul front man since the beginning. With an impressive resume, he has performed with the Drifters, the Commodores and the Temptations just to name a few. He's appeared in Vegas, Reno, Lake Tahoe and has done several U.S.O. tours.

With an amazing vocal range, he has performed with artists like Marvin Gaye,
Stevie Wonder, Earth Wind and Fire, Prince, and Smokey Robinson with ease while dancing and captivating the audience.

He has also been blessed with an unbelievable ear for harmony to compliment Rebecca's lead vocals.  So if you are in need of a band with a true showman out front, you will not have to look any further than Stevon.

Denise is one of the talented vocalists featured in Heart and Soul.  She is an artist who has an extensive background in theater, dance and singing. She has been in several local bands. She has been in theatrical productions at the Karamu House, Allen Theater, East Cleveland Theater and the Cleveland Playhouse. She has traveled abroad and locally performing in all venues of the performance arts. In addition to being a top notch performance artist and vocalist, Denise is also a prolific song writer.

Gary  is our newest addition , recently back in ohio after entertaining in florida for many years. Gary has been performing on keyboards,guitar, and bass since the age of 13 , and performing professionally while still in high school. He earned his masters degree  in music after attending 5 different music schools and colleges in ohio and florida. Gary has worked with a collage of musicians from many genres including: Robert Jr Lockwood : Sonny Geraci & Climax : Todd Rundgren : as well as many well known N.E. Ohio bands including rap, r&b and jazz artists. He's worked with musicians from the cleveland orchestra as well as other well known orchestras .  Gary loves entertaining live on keyboards with Heart & Soul .

Bob Powell is the original founder and band leader of Heart & Soul. At the age of 13, Bob became interested in drums and percussion and by the age of 15 was studying and playing with local musicians. By the age of 19, he was playing professionally at local night clubs hotels and concert venues. He has been performing at a professional level now for 28 yrs.

In 1998, Bob decided Northeast Ohio needed a dance band with the right mix of dance music, stage clothing, lighting, lively dance steps and state of the art sound. He hand-picked the players and singers that could pull it off. Since then, the band has received rave reviews. In 2004,  Heart and Soul received an award for best live performance in the Cleveland area.

Marc brings a rock and roll sensibility to the proceedings, having toured Ohio and the surrounding states for several years with various concert groups. Besides his guitar virtuosity and stage show, he also brings a wealth of technical expertise which is the foundation of the powerful Heart and Soul stage sound.

Kevin brings his unique blend of bass playing and over 20 years of performance experience to the band. After starting out studying classical piano, he soon fell in love with the bass guitar and hasn't looked back. He has toured and performed with both national and local acts. His stage professionalism reflects his years of experience as an accomplished bass player.
